Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Butterfly Pea & Hibiscus blend
3 cups of Water
1 tbsp crushed ginger
Juice of 1 lemon
Sweetener to taste (I love using agave for this one!)
Add-on for decoration: Slice of lemon or lime
Instructions:
Make a large badge of Butterfly Pea Tea by either cold brewing in the fridge overnight (add loose leaf blend, crushed ginger, and lemon juice to water in a (glass) pitcher and stick in the fridge overnight). If you prefer, boil the water first, after it reaches its boiling point, turn it off, add the loose-leaf tea blend, crushed ginger, and lemon juice and let it steep until it reaches room temperature. You can then refrigerate until it is nice and cold. (Note that the lemon will turn the purely natural majestic blue color of butterfly pea flowers into a deep purple, definitely eye-catching!)
To your glass, add a heaping tablespoon of crushed pineapples, and some crushed ice
Pour the Butterfly Pea & Hibiscus Tea over the mixture and decorate with a slice of lemon or lime
